The Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA), the leading voice for industry throughout our state, has officially endorsed Jeff Raatz for Indiana Senate in District 27. Founded in 1901, IMA is dedicated to advocating for a business climate that creates, protects and promotes quality manufacturing jobs in Indiana.
“Jeff understands manufacturing and its importance to the economy of Indiana,” said Patrick J. Kiely, IMA President. “He’ll be a great addition to the Indiana General Assembly.”
Jean Ann Harcourt, IMPAC Board Chairperson and President of Harcourt Industries, agrees. “Jeff impressed us with his background in materials and distribution, and his probusiness positions on issues important to Hoosier manufacturers,” she said.
Raatz graciously accepted the endorsement. “Indiana is one of the top manufacturing states in America – and the IMA is a major force behind that success,” said Raatz. “I am honored to receive the IMA’s endorsement and share their commitment to enhancing the ability of Indiana manufacturers to compete effectively and profitably in our local, national and global economy.”
Raatz is running to represent Indiana Senate District 27, which is comprised of Randolph, Union and Wayne counties, as well as portions of Dearborn, Franklin and Fayette counties. He is a veteran of the US Army, an ordained minister, and an experienced businessman and educator.
Raatz has served on numerous boards, including the Kiwanis Club of Richmond and Faith Christian Fellowship International, and has traveled to Central and South America to experience diverse cultures firsthand. He and his wife, Lisa, moved to the Richmond area in 1998 and currently reside in Centerville with their two daughters.
