Jeff is devoted to fighting the increasing cost of living from Joe Biden's record inflation. Hoosiers are hurting, and Jeff is leading the way to help in their time of need by cutting the personal income tax, capping the gas tax, repealing utility taxes, and returning budget surplus dollars to taxpayers. As a fiscal conservative, Jeff has only voted for balanced budgets and reduced government spending so that we can keep more of our hard-earned money.
As your state senator, Jeff has voted for historic and sustainable funding increases for our local schools. He's committed to ensuring these funds get directly to the classrooms to support our students and pay our teachers more. Jeff also supported legislation providing over $133 million in safety grants to schools to employ safety officers, purchase active alert warning systems, and ensure our classrooms are safe.
Jeff also remains committed to fighting for the right of parents to remain in control of their children's education and be able to choose the school that best fits their child. He recently voted to guarantee parents' right to speak at school board meetings on issues involving their children.
Jeff will continue pushing to keep our communities safe. He knows that the first responders who are risking their lives everyday need more resources provided to do their job properly. While increased crime is being seen in many parts of the country, Jeff will not stop fighting to keep Hoosiers safe at home.
Jeff was recently assigned to the Drainage Task Force to work with Indiana Farm Bureau and several executive branch agencies to review current State laws and agency rules that affect agriculture on a daily basis.
