Indiana State Senator Jeff Raatz
Republican Jeff Raatz is the Senator for Indiana State District 27, following in the steps of Senator Allen Paul. Indiana Senate District 27 is comprised of Randolph, Wayne, and Union counties as well as portions of Fayette, Franklin, and Dearborn counties.
Jeff learned to serve people during his time in a large ministry in Richmond, Indiana. He has been on numerous boards including the Kiwanis Club of Richmond, Faith Christian Fellowship International as well as others. He has traveled to Central and South America, experiencing diverse cultures firsthand.
Jeff and his family moved to Richmond in 1998. He currently serves as owner of Raatz LLC, a business coaching organization offering consulting in the areas of general business practice, IT implementation, cash flow, and OSHA standards. Previously, Jeff served as the Principal of Richmond Academy, a Christian school on the west side of Richmond. Jeff has 15 years experience serving in education, and he recognizes the financial and academic struggles many face each day.
Prior to moving to Richmond, Jeff worked in the manufacturing industry in northwest Michigan. He was raised in northern Michigan on a 1000 acre apple and cherry farm. Learning to work hard at an early age has afforded Jeff the appreciation of earning his wages with honesty and integrity.
Jeff married Lisa on August 11, 1990 and has two daughters, Samantha, a sophomore at Indiana University East, and Robyn, a sophomore at Centerville High School. Jeff also serves at his church in many capacities. The Raatz family currently resides in Centerville with their two cats Cookie and Keebler.
